Moda Bake Shop Tutorial

My very first MBS tutorial is up today. Patchwork Pets. You can also find a shortcut to in under my tutorials on the right side of my blog.

015

This quilt design was based off the fabric. I saw the Max and Whiskers line and though that it needed to be a highlight of this quilt. I also wanted to make a tutorial that could be done in a couple days. Perfect for donation quilts, the last minute baby shower, or even a quilt for you beloved pet.

Hope you all enjoy it! Thanks for looking…..there will be more tutorials in the future, so stay tuned.

yay Amy!!! Congrats on your first MBS quilt! You're right...it is perfect for a pet, especially with that fabric line. Although my cat thinks I make everything for her already! ;) But someday I will make something just for her....and it could very well be this pattern.

Hi Allie,

I love this quilt so much that I'm actually going to attempt it as my first quilt ever.

I have a silly noobie question though, what is the seam allowance on these pieces. I assumed it would be a 1/4 inch, but thought I'd check.

Congrats on your MBS tut! How about Urban Fresh for a name or Urban Country Quilts. A photo banner would be nice... since you are from Texas, you could incorp. that. I do like your idea for a little girl though. But maybe silloutte style?

My main purpose I blog is to share my creations with others so I can learn and grow as a quilter. I am especially here to make new friends, so please comment! I love ALL of them!
